Canvas Wraps from your images

a step-by-step guide to creating canvas wraps from your photos

For those who are new to canvas wraps, here are some of the steps involved in the printing and canvas stretching process to produce canvas wraps. We offer two syles the around frame style is where the image is continued around the edge of the canvas onto the sides of the frame. This effect works really well for landscape images, as well as close up image of foilage - anything where there is plenty of space around the main subject matter. The white around the edge style is ideal when the subject you want is close to the edge of the image.

Step 1 Send us your digital photo for your canvas wraps via our simple upload facility. We check to see whether your photo is suitable for the size of canvas prints you’ve chosen. We allow for extra canvas to accommodate the wrap or bleed edge and also enough canvas to stretch it.

Step 2 We use wide format printers in printing your photo directly onto the surface of high quality, real artist cotton canvas.

Step 3 The stretcher frames for your canvas wraps are then assembled, With a deep 1.5" Depth.

We only manufacture expandable stretcher bars complete with tension wedges in the corners for your canvas wraps. This enables you to re-tension your canvas wraps over time if they sag. You simply need to tap the pegs further into the joins to re-stretch the canvas.

Step 4 We stretch all our canvas wraps by hand. We don’t use canvas stretching machines. This ensures a professional finish every time for your canvas wraps.

Step 5 Once stretched we then insert the tension wedges into the corners of your stretcher. As mentioned above, if over time your canvas wraps sag slightly over time, something they may well do if hung in a warm environment, all you need to do is tap the tension wedges further into the joins. This expands the frame and further stretches the canvas.

Step 6 Your canvas wraps come ready to hang.
