Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all purchases of goods when ordering via this website (www.photomountsuk.co.uk) the wholesale division of JP Photographic Ltd.. By placing an order you are agreeing to be bound by these terms. We may revise these terms and conditions at any time without notice. You should check these terms and conditions periodically. Entering the website will constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions, including recent changes, whether or not you chose to review these changes.

Definitions and Interpretations

  • "Website" means www.photomountsuk.co.uk
  • "You" means any person purchasing goods from this website.
  • "We" or "Us" means JP Photographic Ltd..
  • "Goods" or "Products" means the goods to be supplied by us to you under these conditions.
  • "Contract" means an agreement in which we agree to supply the goods you have ordered at the price you have paid.
  • "In writing" means either via letter to our registered address or email to or from info@photomountsuk.co.uk

Placing an order

In the shop, use the links on the left or above to browse the categories and navigate to the products required. Enter the quantity you require and click on the "add to basket" button of each product that you wish to purchase. After you have added everything you'd like to the basket, click on "Checkout" in the top right corner. Here you can change quantities and pay for your order using a variety of payment methods.

Acceptance of order

We take reasonable care in ensuring that all material on our website is accurate and up to date at the time it is created. None of the information on our website is to be relied upon as a statement or representation of fact. All images, illustrations and descriptions are for information only and all orders are subject to availability. The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence only when your order has been accepted by us. For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute acceptance of an order. Acceptance of an order is made by notifying you in writing that your order status is "Order Complete". Until acceptance of an order is made by us, we can cancel the order without reason or penalty. This means that if goods are shown on our website but are not available or are incorrectly priced or otherwise incorrectly described we shall not be obliged to sell you such goods unless we accept your order.

Order Statuses

Each time the status of your order changes we will inform you of the update in writing. The status options are as follows.

  • Pending - This means you have successfuly placed an order and you now need to pay for it.
  • Processing - Order Processing - This means that you have successfully paid for your order and we have begun to process it.
  • Order Complete - This means that we have accepted your order, processed and dispatched it.
  • Cancelled / Declined - This means that the order has been cancelled either at your request or declined by us because payment was not received.
  • Failed Fraud Review - This means your order has been rejected by us because the transaction was considered high risk.

Prices

If an error is found in the price of a product you have ordered we will inform you in writing as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Delta and Maestro, bank transfer or cheque. We can accept cash sent by post but strongly recommend you use the Royal Mail Special Delivery service as this is insured against loss in transit.

Delivery

The shopping basket will automatically work out the correct postage for your order based on the combined weight of the items you have added to the basket and your delivery address. Any available options for delivery will then appear in the delivery drop down menu starting from £2.95+VAT. 

We aim to dispatch all orders that are in stock within 1 business day and any orders placed before 1pm Monday-Friday on a courier delivery service, the same day. If you need your order to arrive on the next working day, please ensure you place your order by 1pm Monday - Friday and choose a next working day courier delivery service as the courier collects from us daily at this time. If you miss the courier collection, then your order will not be sent until the following working day. If we are unable to dispatch your order due to unforseen circumstances such as a stock error, we will email you to advise you of the delay and give you the option of cancelling your order. If no one is at home when delivery is attempted the driver may check to see if a neighbour is at home and leave the parcel with them. If you leave a signed note explaining that the order can be left in a specific location, the driver can take this away and the goods can be left where you choose, however this is done at your own risk. If this is not possible they will leave a calling card and either attempt re-delivery the following working day or ask you to collect from your local depot. Clear details of this will be on the card that will be left by your driver. If the delivery address you've provided us with is incorrect or it refuses delivery of the goods or if you do not respond to the card left by the driver after two attempts, your order will be returned to us and we will be charged for the return service by our courier which we must pass on to you. We will then cancel your order and refund your payment method deducting the original cost of delivery + £10 to cover the return costs. If you have received an "Order Complete" status email from us then your order has been dispatched. If you have chosen a courier delivery service, we will send you the tracking number via email so that you can track your order and if needed, contact the courier to check the delivery. Although we send out all courier orders on a next day delivery service, it is not guaranteed that you will receive your order on the next working day. Please allow at least 2 working days for delivery. We cannot be held responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control such as strike action or weather conditions. We highly recommend using an express courier delivery option to minimise any chances of a delay with your order. If you choose an economy delivery service then your order will be dispatched via Royal Mail and the estimated timescales quoted are not guaranteed in anyway so you must allow at least 15 working days days from the date of posting before contacting us if you haven't received your order. Only then can we investigate and resend your order. If you provide us with an incorrect delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, we cannot be held responsible for any loss you incur as a result. Once your order has left us, we cannot be responisible for delays or damages that occur as a result of the Courier however if your order does arrive damaged please refuse delivery or mark the courier's sheet as "damaged on arrival" if you do sign for it. If you'd like to make a claim for the damages please email us at info@photomountsuk.co.uk with details of the damage along with images to support the claim and we may be able to resend your order. Note: We currently ship to the UK, EU and USA. If you live outside this area please contact us with your location and we will look into adding it to the website. 

We offer the following delivery options. Some or all of these may be available depending on the weight of the items you are purchasing and your delivery destination. Please read the details of each service carefully before deciding which one you would like to use

Free Delivery - Available on all orders over the value of £250 and being delivered to mainland UK. Order will be sent via courier and is estimated to take 3-4 working days. All other courier delivery services will take priority over the free delivery service. Delivery estimate is not guanateed.

Economy - Sent via Royal Mail 2nd class. Estimated to take 5-7 working days. Delivery estimate is not guaranteed. If you choose this service you must allow at least 15 working days for delivery before contacting us if you haven't received your order.

UPS Standard - We aim to dispatch the same day if ordered before 1pm Monday-Friday. Estimated to take 1-2 working days from dispatch. Delivery estimate is not guaranteed. You will receive a tracking number via email so that you can track the progress of your order

UPS Express Saver - We aim to dispatch the same day if ordered before 1pm Monday-Friday. Guaranteed to arrive before 12pm the next working day after dispatch or we will refund the difference between the express and standard courier services. You will receive a tracking number via email so that you can track the progress of your order

UPS Express - We aim to dispatch the same day if ordered before 1pm Monday-Friday. Guaranteed to arrive before 10:30am the next working day after dispatch or we will refund the difference between the express and standard courier services. You will receive a tracking number via email so that you can track the progress of your order

UPS Express Saturday - We aim to dispatch the same day if ordered before 1pm Monday-Friday. Guaranteed to arrive before 12pm on the Saturday after dispatch or we will refund the difference between the express and standard courier services. You will receive a tracking number via email so that you can track the progress of your order

Courier Europe -  We aim to dispatch the same day if ordered before 1pm Monday-Friday. Estimated to arrive 3-4 working days after dispatch. Delivery estimate is not guaranteed. Tracking info available upon request.

 

Cancelling an Order

You have the right to cancel the contract for your purchase (excluding custom photo mounts or custom orders such as photographic prints) within 7 working days of delivery. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract. You can only cancel your order if all the goods you have ordered are still unopened and in their original sealed packages in which they were delivered to you. To cancel a contract you must email us at info@photomountsuk.co.uk . This helps us both have a record of events. We aim to respond to requests within 24 hours. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE US. Please note that this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers.
 
Note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item(s) to you in error. You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing). 

Returns

To return your order, write "Return Order" on the back of the delivery note. Package the items securely and send them to us with the delivery note within 7 working days of the date that the items were delivered. We request that you email us at info@photomountsuk.co.uk to tell us that you are returning goods before you send them. The return address is:

Note: For your protection, we recommend that you use a signed for delivery service. You are responsible for the costs of returning any goods to us unless we delivered the product(s) to you in error.

* Custom made orders such as photographic prints or personalised mounts/folders cannot be returned under any circumstances.

Refunds

Once the goods have been recieved back to us any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account (minus a 20% re-stocking fee) as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order, provided that the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.

Product Guarantee

We guarantee that all products ordered will be delivered to you free from damage or material defect. You should inspect the goods when you receive them for any defects, damage or missing items. If the package you receive looks like it may be damaged or has been tampered with you should refuse the package or mark the courier’s sheet to show this (if you do sign to accept the package). If the goods are found to be damaged prior to delivery to you then we will replace or refund the price paid. Any claims that products are damaged. missing or defective on arrival must be made within 48 hours of delivery by email to info@photomountsuk.co.uk along with supporting photographic evidence of the claim if required. This guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear or any products that have been stored incorrectly, wilfully damaged, or damage caused by accident, negligence by you or by any third party, any alteration or repair by you or by a third party, or any specification provided by you.

Product Price Match Promise

We reserve the right to change our price matching policy at any time. This price match promise covers the price of the product only. Any applicable postage, packaging and handling charges are non refundable. Our price promise does not apply to auction websites, private sales, special orders, typographical errors, clearance sales, liquidation sales, mail-in rebate offers, or where a service commitment is included in the transaction. We must be able to verify that the competitor's product is in stock, is the exact same product as the one on our product page and is in a brand new, unused and undamaged condition.

Free gifts and promotional items

Free gifts and any promotional items are offered subject to availability and form no part of the contact between you and us.

Pre-order and out of stock items

If you order goods that have a status of pre-order or out of stock then you should check the website regularly for updates. If you order multiple items, your order will not be dispatched until all the items you have ordered are in stock.

Delays

We shall not be liable to you if we are for any reason prevented or delayed in the performance of any of our obligations to you if this is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control including without limitation; an act of God, explosion, extreme weather conditions, flood, fire or accident, war or civil disturbance, strike, industrial action, stoppages of work, terrorism, a third party act or omission, failure of our supplier(s) in difficulty in obtaining materials and/or labour/deliveries, failure by you to give us a correct delivery address or failure by the companies we employ to delivery your order to you. We will inform you of any such unforeseen event as soon as practically possible.

Specifications, Colours, Images, Weights and Sizes

We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes and weights given as a guide only and are approximate. Representations of colour are approximate due to the limitations and calibrations of the user's output device. Although we keep the product images as up to date as possible, they are for guidance only and may differ from the actual product received when a manufacturer makes a change without our knowledge. A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour. 

Product Reviews

You may review any product at any time even if you haven't bought it from us. However, in the interest of fairness, any reviews with a rating of less than 3 will not be published until at least a total of 3 reviews have been submitted.

Availability

All goods are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfill your order due to a stock error, you will be informed and given the opportunity to choose a similar product or cancel your order.

Tax Charges

All our prices shown are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Upon completion of a successful order you will automatically receive a VAT receipt.

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card payments are taken securely by Sagepay. Sagepay has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI).
